Simply rendered.
Never stripped.

From raw suet to finished tallow. Rendered by our experienced U.S. partner in a USDA-inspected facility.

No refining.

No bleaching.

No deodorizing.

  1. Start with suet.

Raw material arrives at the facility.

  2. Prepare.

The raw fat is ground before rendering.

  3. Render.

Heat turns the prepared fat into rendered tallow.

  4. Separate.

The rendered product moves through separation.

  5. Clarify.

    Clarification follows separation, before packaging.

  6. Fill & finish.

Tallow is hot-filled, then stored and shipped.

More about the process

Our partner’s rendering experience dates back to 1975. The finished tallow is heat-treated and hot-filled into its container. Because it is not deodorized, a natural tallow aroma can be present.

A few good
things to know.

Storage, scent, and the details that help you choose.

How should I store it?

Store in a cool, dry, dark place. The batch number and expiration date are printed on each container. Shelf life is two years from rendering—not two years from delivery. Follow the date and any handling instructions on your container.

Does it have a scent or beef flavor?

This tallow is not deodorized, so a natural tallow aroma can be present. Customers describe the scent differently; it should not be purchased with the expectation that it is odorless. Flavor in a finished dish depends on the recipe and quantity used.

What texture should I expect?

Tallow changes consistency with temperature: firmer when cool and softer as it warms. It melts when heated. A change in consistency alone does not change the ingredient.

Can I use it for soap or balm?

Yes—this tallow can be used as an ingredient in soap and balm formulations. It is pure tallow, rather than a finished skincare formula. Choose a formulation and process suitable for what you’re making.

Is it refined, bleached, or deodorized?

No. Our tallow is rendered without refining, bleaching, or deodorizing.

Where can I find a COA or specifications?

Our document library includes published specifications, statements, and a sample COA. For documentation tied to your order, include your product and printed batch number when contacting us.
